Forest Society Senior Outreach Director Nigel Manley will lead a hike around the trails at The Rocks as part of the 5 Hikes Challenge. Feel free to stop by the gift shop inside the Carriage Barn and explore the interpretive exhibit during your visit! Nigel can share more about how Christmas tree farming intersects with wildlife habitat, how our tree fields support diverse wildlife populations, and what we do to encourage and support wildlife habitat, as well as his wider knowledge of New Hampshire wildlife.

The Rocks is a historic gem in New Hampshire’s North Country offering a scenic Christmas tree farm, Olmsted-designed formal gardens, a stone amphitheater overlooking the White Mountains, a restored 1884 Carriage Barn heated by green energy, a three-bedroom rental cottage, and panoramic mountain views across the 1,400-acreproperty. 

All are welcome on this hike, and if you or someone you know have disabilities that make hiking challenging, we are also partnering with Adaptive Sports Partners to assist anyone who needs it on this hike.
