Get to know The Rocks on our new Thursday Walk series!
Join The Rocks' Senior Outreach Manager Nigel Manley for this weekly educational walking program, rotating between topics of Maple Sugaring, NH Wildlife, Christmas Trees, and History of The Rocks.
Thursday, September 19: NH Wildlife
Learn all about the New Hampshire wildlife that calls The Rocks home, from turkey and porcupine to deer, moose, and bear. Visit various habitat on the property and learn how we encourage healthy wildlife populations through the management of our forests and fields, and what you can do on your own property to do the same.
These walks will traverse varied terrain throughout The Rocks' campus, so be prepared to walk on gravel paths, uphill, through farm fields, and on the trails. Dress for the weather as we will go rain or shine! Walks last approximately two hours; some will have an introductory 15-30 minute presentation.
$5 for members, $15 for not-yet-members.
