Black Mountain Banding Station Workday
Black Mountain Forest

Join us to help get ready for the bird banding season at the Black Mountain Banding Station. On Saturday May 3rd, we'll be preparing sites for mist nets (think clippers, loppers and hand saws!) that will help us catch and release breeding songbirds at this MAPS (Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship) banding station this summer. Bring a bag lunch and water, and wear long pants and waterproof shoes if possible. Rain/inclement weather date will be Sunday May 4th.

IMPORTANT: Please meet at Kearsarge Regional HS parking lot (457 North Road, Sutton, NH) at 10am on Saturday May 3rd, and we will carpool to the site from there (parking is limited).

* We won't be banding birds on this workday, but will be preparing the station to start banding very soon! Hopefully we'll hear many breeding birds singing on the workday, and will share identification tips as we work!
