Bretzfelder Summer Series: Moose Ecology

Rounding out the series on August 27 at 6 p.m., participants will learn about moose with an interactive session of frequently asked questions answered in a manner that also explains moose ecology. Attendees will have opportunity to ask their own questions and there will be examples of moose parts, parasites, and food.

The talk and Q&A will be led by Henry Jones, Moose Project Leader with NH Fish and Game. In his role Jones coordinates moose management in New Hampshire, which includes monitoring the size and health of the moose population, promoting conservation of moose habitat, managing moose-related recreation, and providing information to the public. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Wildlife Ecology from the University of New Hampshire and has served as the Moose Project Leader since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and helping at his family’s Christmas tree farm.

RSVPs are appreciated but not required. Walk-ins are welcome; those registered will receive updates about any changes.

The Bretzfelder Park Family Educational series is presented each year in winter and summer by the Forest Society and the Bretzfelder Park Committee.
