Thursday, October 3: History of The Rocks
Learn all about the fascinating history of The Rocks, from the mid-1800s when International Harvester co-founder John Jacob Glessner assembled the estate from several farms, to its most famous resident and the "mother of forensic science" Frances Glessner Lee, to its current role as the Forest Society's North Country headquarters and conservation center. Visit historic buildings and gardens, and see the only Nutshell Study of Unexplained Death in New Hampshire.

These walks will traverse varied terrain throughout The Rocks' campus, so be prepared to walk on gravel paths, uphill, through farm fields, and on the trails. Dress for the weather as we will go rain or shine! Walks last approximately two hours; some will have an introductory 15-30 minute presentation.

$5 for members, $15 for not-yet-members.
