Guided Hike at Johnson Clark Forest
|
Early Fall Foliage — no pumpkin spice required! The 59-acre Johnson-Clark Forest in [town name] features a 2-mile loop over forested Lewis Hill, leading to scenic views from an open ledge. This moderately challenging trail offers about 400 feet of elevation gain and includes a short, low-traffic road walk along Lewis Hill Road (with even more views) to complete the loop. It’s a perfect tune-up for the autumn hiking season. Leaders: Nigel Manley and Kristine Arey The Forest Society’s Annual DIY “5 Hikes Challenge” runs from August 30 to October 31. Complete the hikes on your own schedule, or join one of our optional, staff-led outings to explore new or classic destinations during the challenge. These guided hikes are open to everyone—not just challenge participants—and offer a great way to visit and learn more about our properties.
