As part of the Forest Society's 2026 Five Hikes Challenge, hike the Peabody Brook Trail to scenic Giant Falls on the Peabody and Bald Cap Peak Forests. Bald Cap Peak Forest is part of the larger 3,750-acre Mahoosuc Highlands conservation project completed in 2023. This 3-mile round-trip hike is fairly strenuous, with a steady uphill climb to the falls, which may be especially impressive following recent rainfall.
